Terms of Use

One Click Lawyers is a Texas-based legal information and inquiry-routing website. It is not a law firm. These Terms of Use apply to oneclicklawyers.com and its forms. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

Eligibility

The website is intended for adults who can enter a binding agreement. If you submit information for another person, you state that you have authority to do so and permission to provide that information.

General information only

Website content is general information. It is not legal or medical advice and can be incomplete or out of date for your facts. Laws, procedures, and deadlines can change and differ by jurisdiction.

No attorney-client relationship

Viewing content, submitting an inquiry, or receiving a response from One Click Lawyers does not create an attorney-client relationship. Representation can start only after an independent lawyer or law firm completes its own review, conflict check, and separate engagement agreement with you.

Inquiry-routing service

You can ask One Click Lawyers to share an inquiry with one or more independent lawyers or law firms for possible review and contact. One Click Lawyers does not promise a match, response, case review, representation, fee, timing, strategy, settlement, verdict, or other result. You remain free to contact and choose any lawyer.

One Click Lawyers may receive compensation from an independent lawyer or law firm for marketing or inquiry-routing services. Any lawyer fee or representation agreement is separate and is only between you and the lawyer or law firm.

Consent and communications

The first form checkbox asks for permission to store your contact details and contact you about an inquiry, including when you do not finish the remaining steps. The final checkbox asks for separate permission to process and share the completed inquiry with one or more independent lawyers or law firms. Selecting either checkbox does not authorize automated or prerecorded marketing calls or texts. A separate consent is required when applicable law requires it.

Deadlines and emergencies

A form submission does not extend, pause, or satisfy a statute of limitations, notice requirement, filing date, court date, agency date, or other deadline. Do not wait for a response when time can affect your rights. The website is not an emergency service.

No confidential documents

Do not submit medical records, government identification numbers, financial account information, privileged communications, or detailed evidence through the general form. A submission to One Click Lawyers is not protected by an attorney-client relationship.

Independent lawyers and law firms

A lawyer or law firm that contacts you is independent from One Click Lawyers and is responsible for licensing, conflicts, competence, professional duties, advice, fees, and all representation decisions. One Click Lawyers does not endorse or guarantee any lawyer and does not control legal services.

Forms and website services

A partially completed or completed form can create a private inquiry record in WordPress. The form also records first-party progress and attribution data. Hosting, communications, security, and other service providers can have their own terms and practices. Review the Privacy Policy for information about collection, routing, privacy rights, and retention.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the website, try to obtain unauthorized access, send malicious code, create unreasonable automated load, impersonate another person, violate another person’s privacy, or submit unlawful or knowingly false information.

Intellectual property

Website text, design, branding, and original materials are protected to the extent allowed by law. You can use the website for personal information purposes. You may not copy, republish, sell, or exploit substantial parts for commercial use without permission.

External links

External links are provided for reference. One Click Lawyers does not control external content, availability, privacy, security, or services. A link does not create an endorsement.

Availability and disclaimers

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent allowed by law, One Click Lawyers disclaims warranties that the website or content is complete, accurate, current, secure, error-free, or always available.

Limits of liability

To the extent allowed by law, One Click Lawyers is not liable for decisions based on general website information, missed deadlines, loss caused by unavailable service, third-party services, or acts or omissions of independent lawyers or law firms. A limit that applicable law does not permit will apply only to the maximum extent permitted.

Texas law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except when applicable law requires another result. Any dispute must be brought in a court that has lawful jurisdiction and venue.

Severability and no waiver

If a court finds one term unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of that term or another term.

Changes

We can change these Terms when the website, business model, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the published version. Your later use of the website is subject to the version then posted.

Contact

Use the Contact page for a question about these Terms. Do not use the form for service of process, a court filing, or a formal legal notice.
